👏 This October has been a significant month for the ICO!

Following our International Coffee Day celebrations, we travelled to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, for the 140th Session of the International Coffee Council and the 7th CEO and Global Leaders Forum (CGLF), held from 13 to 17 October 2025.

The week of events was opened by the President of Honduras, Iris Xiomara Castro, and included the participation of Minister Laura Suazo from the Secretariat of Agriculture and Livestock, as well as several other high-level Honduran representatives.

Throughout the week, ICO Members, the private sector, and international organizations and key partners collaborated to shape the future of the global coffee sector, discussing topics such as:

✅ Global market trends and sustainability initiatives
✅ EUDR and the evolving coffee regulatory framework
✅ Living and Prosperous Income for farmers and global funding opportunities
✅ Implementation of ICO activities and progress within the Coffee Public-Private Task Force (CPPTF)
✅ Enhanced collaboration between producing and consuming countries

The events also included the ICO statistical workshop for the region, strategic bilateral meetings, and celebrations of unity and cooperation among coffee exporting and importing countries.

Coffee prices edged up in September 2025, with the I-CIP rising 9.3% to 324.6 US cents/lb. After months of downturn, the market is showing early signs of possible recovery, although uncertainty remains.
